COMPANY POLICY FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT, THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE SAFETY AND HYGIENE AT WORK

1.Policy for Quality Management

The Quality Management Policy of IPEL S.A. conforms with the requirements of ISO 9001: 2000 and constitutes the corner stone for the achievement of the company objectives, some of which are:

  • Specialised know-how customer services.
  • High Efficiency Performance

in the supply, installation, start up, maintenance, technical support of electrical and mechanical equipment and the civil works for it's installation.

The quality management policy of IPEL S.A. constitutes the base for the achievement of the company objectives. It remains constant and is the foundation of the Quality Management System implemented in our company. The top level management of the company is committed to continuously conforming and improving the effectiveness of the company quality management systems.

The company administration are responsible for guaranteeing the company engagement to QUALITY, thus at the same time making a continuous effort for the improvement of the services provided.

Our permanent objective and commitment is the harmonical company operation to the Greek legislation and its continuous improvement, through a process of determination of successful objectives for the quality and the improvement of the of company activities.

2. Policy for the Environment

The company recognises the great importance for the protection of the environment. As a result, it has implemented the use of the ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management System, so the services provided are friendlier to the environment.

The company is committed that:

  • It will determine environmental performance indices for the services provided
  • It will operate synchronous to the existing environmental legislation and regulations
  • It will develop operating procedures aiming at minimising the environmental pollution.
  • It will improve the level of environmental protection progressively, via objectives and programs, while decreasing the waste that results from its activities, promoting recycling and reuse, as well as the safe transportation and destruction of its waste.
  • It will publish information regarding its environmental records to its personnel, as well as to third parties.
  • It will minimise the probability of environmental incidents and will be able to cope with the consequences from any incident.
  • It will collaborate with its suppliers, partners, and customers in order to help them develop an interest in the protection of the environment.
  • It will promote suitable education within its staff and ensure its position to operate in agreement with the commitments of its environmental policy.

3. Policy for the Safety and Hygiene at work

The IPEL Administration carries the executive responsibility for the health and the safety of its workers. It is committed to the continuous improvement of working conditions and the attribution of hygiene and safety to ensure the protection of the life and the health of all of its workers, included the Subcontractors, Suppliers, Visitors and third parties that enter its installations and worksites. The health and safety of workers and collaborators will always be the fundamental concern for the administration of IPEL S.A.

For IPEL to achieve and maintain its H&S policy, it implements ELOT model 1801, it allocates the necessary resources, both human and technological, and it uses suitable and capable personnel with the essential know-how and comprehension at every company level. The administration provides all the means for personnel training on hygiene and safety issues, the of responsibility distribution inside the company, but also motives for the minimisation of precarious conditions at work, in order for everyone, both individually and in groups, to help improve the working environment.

For IPEL, the ultimate goal is the implementation of all services in the best quality and least time, without accidents or incidents that will harm the human health. The health and the safety of workers is a concern of all that participate in the company activities and it primarily from us.

The policy and the objectives of IPEL S.A. for the health and the safety of the workers should be applied to and by all workers on all levels simultaneously, recognizing the individual danger of their work space while contributing to the improvement the Hygiene and Safety at Work records.

The engagements of IPEL are reviewed annually, are available to any interested party, have been announced and comprehended by all company personnel and partners.
