HISTORY

At the end of 1996, Nikos Kleisiotis after six years previous experience in AEG company, distinguished the existed void of the Greek market in the space of Electrical Energy Distribution which remained overdraft from the multinational companies. He bidded farewell AEG HELLAS (current AREVA HELLAS) with the place of "Head of Departments of Sales and Ecological Management of Electrical material", trying to create a flexible form aiming to the best and more effective service of customer.

In the beginnings of 1997 company "INTERPOWER ELEKTROTECHNIC LTD" with discreet title
"IPEL" is founded, where participate a group of investors with percentage 80% and Nikolaos Kleisiotis with percentage 20%, to whom is ceded under restrictions the right of management of company.

At that period IPEL has as its basic object the sale and benefit of services only in the sector of Transformers. At the same time "INTERPOWER ELECTROTECHNIC LTD" negotiates and finally inherits the delegation of then basic factory of cast resin transformers manufacturer that functioned as supplier of AEG, "ELETTROMECCANICA DI MARNATE". In 1998 IPEL has already signed contracts of collaboration with basic European suppliers of electrical equipment for Substations and Uninterrupted Power Supply systems.. The head offices are transported in space 100 m2 and the number of employees becomes five.

In 1999, after negotiations with given the lack of its interesting foreigner group for the support and further growth of company, Nikolaos Kleisiotis buys off the 74% and possesses henceforth the 100% of action of IPEL.

In 2000 the offices of company are transported again in new building in space 200 m2 and the number of permanent employees becomes six and department of "Import and Marketing of Transformers of Force" is enriched with new collaborations of import and marketing of Bus Bars, Generating Sets, Medium Voltage Switchboards, Protection Relays and OLTCs.

In 2001 after a big number of delivered material begins the development of maintenance department with permanent personnel.

In 2002 IPEL after permanent developmental course in order to undertake bigger share in the big Olympic work, is decided the increase of participial capital in EURO 300.000, and its transformation in Anonymous company. The number of permanent employees becomes nine.

In 2003 IPEL buys stocking space in Thiva in order to cover the needs of fast deliveries and disengage from the carriers.

In 2004 with the continuously increasing needs of market, is completed the creation of two moreover basic departments in the company, as well as the registration of company in the records of MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT PLANNING AND PUBLIC WORKS, of second order.

2nd DEPARTMENT: Manufacture and Installation of Electromechanical projects, Medium Voltage Substations, Environmental Protection projects
3rd DEPARTMENT: Benefit of conventions Preventive or Repairing Maintenance of Electromechanical Installations of Buildings and Industrial Groups (facility management), Substations M. V., Generating Sets as well as Disposal of Specialised Personnel for the cover of maintenance needs.

In 2005 IPEL buys a plot in Paleo Faliro and begins the reconstruction of offices building 600 m2 capable to accommodate the new needs of its personnel.

In 2006 the manufacture of building is completed and IPEL moves in its new offices. At the same time it acquires certificates of quality according to model ISO 9001, ISO14000, OHSAS18001.

In 2007 IPEL has signed conventions with the most powerful European Houses, particularly in the space of Bus Bars, Distribution Transformers, Generating Sets, Switchboards, but also other Electric Energy Distribution Systems and is henceforth modern, healthy and competitive Greek enterprise.
